Anniversary Fun

August 10, 2012 | Posted in

It’s so hard to believe that it’s been 5 years ago already that I picked up a crate with a ‘caution: live animal’ sticker slapped on the side, from the cargo hold at SFO. And August 10th also happens to mark the 2 year anniversary of PuppySnob as a blog/brand/philosophy living outside the realm of personal thoughts.

So, YAY…happy anniversary to us!! Queue up the party & the presents:

The fabulous Sofitel San Francisco Bay is hosting the Soiree on Thursday August 30th & YOU’RE INVITED. Poolside Cocktails + Appetizers, Photo booth with award-winning photographer Jesse Freidin, Live Entertainment, Scenic Lagoon Views, Raffle prizes & more! Don’t be fooled by Tallulah’s shy pose above, she loves the paw-parazzi ;)

And presents..well yes, it is our anniversary, so you really should be getting us something, but we’re feeling the (puppy) love! Be sure to enter our Anniversary Sweepstakes for a chance to win something awesome- we’ve rounded up some of our favorite products & services to share with a few lucky people + their pups and will be giving things out over the next 4 weeks.

Not a bad way to rock into our 3rd year..C’est si bon lovelies.

All you suburban PuppySnobs- Give your four-legged Neighborhood Watch member a clearer view on to the comings and goings of area cats, kids and the reviled mail carrier with the Pet Peek. A hybrid between ship porthole and boogie van bubble window, the acrylic fence window promises easy installation and at just $34.98, it’s way cheaper than costly repairs required when your little buddy chews his own custom window on the world. Make Peace with the Mail Carrier

May 15, 2012 | Posted in

Why do dogs hate letter carriers? Well, maybe it’s because no one ever sends them anything. Broker a peace accord between your best friend & the human they most despise by thoughtfully gifting your dog with a Barkbox subscription. Each month, your pet will receive a special delivery, chock full of treats and toys! Best of all, 10% of proceeds are donated to a local shelter or rescue in your area. Oh, your dog will still bark when the mail comes – it’ll just be for a totally different reason.

Made in the Shade

May 8, 2012 | Posted in

Soaking up rays is a pastime we humans enjoy, but then again, we aren’t all wearing fur coats that we can’t take off! This chi-chi lounger from The Refined Canine provides built-in shade so your furry tanning partner can enjoy your company-  along with a fresh breeze – in high style, and out of the direct rays of the sun. Desert heat? You can always take the temperature down another notch with these Snob-approved gourmet pupsicles!

Portrait of a Doggy

April 20, 2012 | Posted in

If “sit” and “stay” aren’t part of your dog’s vocabulary, then odds are that an oil portrait painted in the style of old masters probably just isn’t in the cards. Heck, that might even rule out a great photo. Luckily, that leaves the jaunty pen and ink portraits of Studio Legohead. All it takes is $140 (plus s&h) a few snapshots of your pup and a bit of insight into his/her character – et voila! A vibrant, charming keepsake to tack over the mantle in lieu of a pompous rendering in oil.

Bonus: If you’d like your dog’s likeness to be sporting a top hat, jewelry, cowboy boots, or any other  fashionable accoutrements – no problemo. Try getting your dog to cooperate with that in real life!

National Puppy Day!

March 23, 2012 | Posted in

Apparently today is National Puppy Day. A whole day devoted to the cuteness & unconditional love that puppies bring us! It’s also a day to help save orphaned puppies & to educate the public about the horrors of puppy mills, so for that reason alone..everyday should be National Puppy Day. Enjoy all the adorable pictures & videos floating around on the interwebs!

Where, Oh Where, Has My Little Dog Gone?

February 14, 2012 | Posted in

Save yourself (and your best friend) the anguish of being unintentionally separated with the nifty Blanket pet I.D. service. Simply purchase one of Blanket’s uber-cute tags & when it arrives, use their website to register your pet and upload a few adorable mug shots. If your little buddy ever wanders off, just  run – sobbing – to Blanket’s website & report your pet M.I.A. Blanket will instantly broadcast emails on your behalf to your local SPCA, animal hospitals, shelters, and other blanketID members in your area. Said email will link to your online information enabling 24/7 access to a full description + photos to help identify your lost pet. If a kindly stranger stumbles upon your wayward buddy, he or she can use the unique number on the tag to access all they need to reach you. Best of all – For every blanketID tag registered and every membership purchased, a portion of proceeds go towards the Blanket Fund for Animals to improve the lives of pets not as lucky as yours.

February is Responsible Pet Ownership Month and safety is always in style!
